Current Song: Smile Empty Soul - Alone With Nothing.
Do you like the 24 countdown I added? Fucking sweet as hell :).
This picture was taken earlier, around the same time as the others. The reason for the massive amount of images for the last post were for this one sole reason. I'm still awake, we're waiting on Mary Beth to call us back, and we might get the house today. Bethy kept me up all night, and I had two of these awesome Boston Market TV Dinners, one was Salisbury Steak with Macaroni and Cheese, and the other was some type of Cheese Chicken Rice thing... Like I said 5 for $10, if you want to try something good and you have a Giant Eagle near you, go check this shit out while the sale is going on. They also have a nice sale for Pork Chops and some other stuff, buy one get one with your Advantage Card. Very very nice deal, but I'm not here to talk about shopping and shit, this is to talk about the longest day I've had in a while.
I'm still awake, like I said, I haven't slept yet. Apparently Mary Beth went into the shelter office at 9am or 10am, and Mom was up when we got back from the vending machines to get Bethy a replacement Tea for her nasty Giant Eagle one. We got to talking about the house, and Mom called her shortly after 9am, after having her cigarette break. Mary Beth said she'd call back in a little while because she was trying to do something. Mo0m misheard her and figured she said she'd call back in 5 minutes. It's now been a while, and Mom called her back to see what was up. She told Mom what she said, about needing time to do something and that she'd call us back whenever she was done. So here we sit in wait... She hasn't called us back yet and at the time of getting to this point on the post it's now 10:34am here. There's a few problems though.
Number one, she's only booked the hotel until Noon today from what Mom said. That was another reason she wanted to see us today, she doesn't want to pay for the hotel room if we can get the key and start moving in this week. So as it stands, we currently have an hour and a half to figure out what the hell we're doing or we need to leave the hotel and go to her office I guess. Waiting never seemed so long... And hell, I thought it was a long wait just to see Steph on certain occasions. This is so much harder because it is about the house, and getting the paperwork to move into it... This is so much different, and the picture above is exactly how I am right now. Sitting in that same spot, staring at the screen typing this with a worried look on my face, and a stress level over 9000 - Those who get the reference to DBZ get a cookie.
We're all sitting here waiting for a phone call. Bethy's on her bed, Mom's on mine, and I'm in the chair. We're all being quiet, worried about the house, hoping for something good to come from today. We opened the curtains and let light in, and it's a nice day even though it's cold. Blue sky, and nice weather in my opinion... I always loved it cool like this :). I'm worried about what will happen, but we're hoping we get a call soon, and go to see her. Then make the calls, and get a hold of the landlord, who's name is Newt, which is a name not commonly heard anymore. If all goes well, and he is alright with the plans we have, I hope we get the key today... I really really hope so. That's another thing, I asked Mom about the keys, and told her we need to get four made. She said no, that they can wait, all we need to do is focus on getting A KEY. Which yeah, is true... But it's my house, and I want Steph to get one as soon as we can. You have no real say on the matter, so there...
Anyway, I'm going to go listen to some music. Updates throughout the day. If we leave I might not get online to update the blog any further until I find a Wi-Fi point. Therefore, any more days that come after this may be delayed. Rest assured, I will continue this project offline... Don't worry. That was the other reason for all the pictures in the last post, because Mom mentioned after I posted everything that we might not be here past Noon today. So I started uploading, and decided to go out with a bang.
And would you believe we've been staying in this room since December 18th? Damn huh? :P That's nuts...
Anyway... That's it. Hope I can update this later... Here's hoping lady luck's on our side today.
Simple Edit: We called down to the front desk around Noon and asked them if she extended it, but they never heard from her. So... We called her after a long wait in her never calling us, and we got no answer. Mom decided to call the front desk of Linda, who is the receptionist there and got her to ask Mary Beth about what was up, and she told Linda she'd call us back again. We were starting to get annoyed a bit, and anxious with anticipation and nothing happened for a while. Then close to 12:15pm or 12:30pm she called us back. She extended the room until next week, Monday the 18th to be exact, so we have until Noon on the 18th to be out of here. She wanted the number for Newt, and his address and that she'd call and talk to him about our plans. And that when she'd find something out about it she'd call us back and let us know what the official plan is.
I ended up dozing off, I was in a very peaceful state of mind, to the point where I was just staring into space as I laid on my bed while we waited, to the point where Bethy was getting creeped out by my emotionless actions. I slept until sometime shortly after 4pm in which Bethy was the only one up and she was on her laptop. I asked her what time it was and it was after 4pm, like I said, and I got pissed off because we got no phone call back and Mom never went up to get the paperwork. She was also asleep, which really upset me more... So we woke her up, and she finally decided to call her about it. Apparently, there's a guy she has that will inspect it, he's the shelter's personal house inspector... I guess for the people who are homeless and seeking a house to live in, that he'd go and see if it's up to living conditions. He's supposed to get out there to see it in the next few days, and it should be really quick too. The landlord said he'd go for it, so as long as all is well we can get it. He's going to talk to a friend of his today about everything Section 8 is about just to make sure he's up to par on everything that do and offer landlords. Other than that, it looks like we might be moving in sometime this week. Which will I think seriously hinder me seeing Steph this week... But it all just depends on playing it by ear and seeing how it goes when we do.
I was awake enough to listen to the call and then I went back to sleep for a few hours and woke back up at 7pm. Went to the bathroom and texted Steph about what was going on with the house, and told her to call me when she got off of work. I dozed back off, and woke up around 8:30pm when she called. Mom talked to her for a little while, and I was thinking it might not be her, but all signs pointed to her talking to Steph so I just waited until they were done. We talked for a while until she needed to go and get something to eat at the store, and Mom and me went outside to get the remainder of the Hot Sausage out of the van to eat. I was worried it wouldn't be good anymore, but it's been pretty cold outside so that's a plus. I had two of them, and they tasted fine and haven't had any problems yet, so I guess they were good... Sure sucks that we don't have a fridge in the room though. After that we watched some TV, I don't really know what the shows were other than we watched a lot of cooking shows. Steph got online, and we talked for an hour or two... Something along the lines of that, and then she called me while I played a game online. It's a nice fun one on Kongregate, and if you don't have an account I suggest you make one, it's a fun site.

When we were done talking I went and got a shower, and when I was done I relaxed a bit before Bethy woke up. She had her Hot Sausage and we watched some Celebrity drug show, where they were in recovery, and it was kind of interesting. It was called Celebrity Rehab... Then I offered to take the Hot Sausage back out to the van because it needed to be cold since we were going to sleep. When I was coming back in Mom and Bethy were at the top of the steps wondering where I was because I took a while. I just wanted some fresh air, it was nice out. And earlier this evening when we went out to the van to get the Hot Sausage before, the snow was coming down and it looked like sparkles falling from the sky. The whole parking lot looked like a shining piece of silver, and it was so damn pretty... I wish the camera would have picked up the sparkles, but I doubt it would have. When I came back upstairs I brushed my teeth, and we watched some more TV. The Last Castle was on, which is one of my favorite movies with Robert Redford in it, it was made a few years ago and if you haven't seen it I'd recommend it.
After that, we went to sleep and that was pretty much it. Rather uneventful day to be exact, as we're still waiting to hear about the damn house, and we still haven't got the papers. Tomorrow's another day though, so here's hoping.
Catch you on the flip!
